Neil first became enamored with Palm Springs while visiting his grandparents, who had a weekend home at the Seven Lakes Golf and Country Club. The Seattle native remembers being enchanted by the desert’s mid-century glamour, which inspired his early entrepreneurial endeavors: a floral and interiors establishment that he owned and operated for 18 years, and Neil Douglas Designs, a high-end residential design firm. 

 

Early 2008 found Neil ready for new scenery and new challenges. And what better place to start a new life than in the desert that had given him so much? While many would have been intimidated at the thought of beginning a real estate career during the housing crisis, Neil set out with a niche market in mind. He began using his design background to help developers and investors alike conceptualize, restore, and deliver superior products. He has even collaborated with famed architects Hugh Kaptur and William Kriesel to restore many of their mid-century designed homes. By 2018, Neil was ranked No. 5 for sales in the Palm Springs market and has since remained in the top 1% of Realtors® in Coachella Valley. He was also designated as a Top 2020 Agent by Palm Springs Life.
